If there are 5 players who buff the landing site, I get 35 ore, about 20 dust, and normally a quartz from a landing. There tend to be fewer players than 5. This means less than 100, and typically less than 75, ore per hour. When it's only me doing the site, I get a lot of dragonite and hardly any dust or ore sometimes less than 10 of each.

For now just do fractals, world boss train for dragonite ore, raids, Heart of Thorn Meta events (Matriarch at Verdant Brink, Octovine at Auric Basin, Chak Garent in Tangled Depths, Mord at Dragons). You get dragonite ore from the berry spawns, and you get emp fragments from the chests that spawn after doing the meta event. You can get about 150 of each per toon you take through there. Though the chests respawn for each character, so even if you have just one you can get limitless emp fragments.

There are loads of guides on crafting that'll show you the cheapest way to get to 500. You can store mats in the bank and alt characters. When you craft it will pull from the bank tabs first then crafting storage. Materials are easy to get in the game. You can farm or do the more profitable metas for salvage materials.

You can get to 425 just by buying orichalcum ore/gossamer scraps and selling the orichalcum ingots/gossamer bolts. 425450 is a bit harder but with a crafting booster you won't have to spend more than a few gold and some t6 fine materials. Doing 23 dungeons a day gives about 6070 empyreals, relative to the 140 I get per day of dragonite (from karka queen, tequatl and triple wurm ONLY), and the about 100 I get of dusts, mostly from teq(+kraitlab)'s champion chests. It only takes a scavenger hunt achievement in Lion's Arch and eats up to 200ish dragonite ore per day in exchange for various blue/green gear and junk items.
